Speed and Velocity

Speed=distance/time
Velocity is speed in a specific direction.

Acceleration - the rate of change of velocity of an object with respect to time. An object's acceleration is the net result of all forces acting on the object, as described by Newton's Second Law.

Newton's Laws of Motion

N-1: Law of Inertia

An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion, unless acted on by an outside force.

N-2: Law of Force

The acceleration of an object is dependent upon the net force acting on the object and the mass of the object.

Force = mass x acceleration

N-3: Law of Action & Reaction

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Forces occur in pairs.
